The Guernsey Protea Society brings people together through premium events, meaningful connections, and charitable initiatives that make a real difference.
Every event we host contributes to meaningful causes. We are proud to support both Guernsey-based charities and initiatives in South Africa, with a focus on youth, community development, and opportunity.
To date, we have raised over £77,920 for causes including the Guernsey Youth Commission, Goal50, Autism Guernsey, Ikamva, Guernsey Sports Commission, Les Bourgs Hospice, Headway, and the Junior Siam Cup, and we are only getting started.
Founded to strengthen the connection between Guernsey and South Africa, the Guernsey Protea Society is more than a network, it is a platform for bringing people together.
The Guernsey Protea Society was founded by South African expats, not only in recognition of the strong business ties between the two countries, but also in appreciation of the warm welcome that Guernsey has offered to many South African families and businesses over many years.
Led by a dedicated committee, we are proud to call Guernsey home, and even prouder of the community we are building together.

Founded to bring together the South African community in Guernsey, while creating opportunities to contribute meaningfully to both local and international causes.
The Guernsey Protea Society was established by South African expats who wanted to give back to the island that had welcomed them so warmly. What began as a desire to say thank you has grown into a vibrant organisation.
